This Privacy Notice explains how TRIPPLE O LIMITED, trading as Workalat (“Workalat”, “we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses, discloses and protects personal data when you use our website and related services.
1. What this notice covers
It applies to:
- Customers who submit a request for services
- Professionals who list or provide services
- Website users who browse our site
- Job applicants who apply to work with us
This notice does not cover how Professionals handle data in the course of providing their services. Professionals act as independent controllers of Customer data once you engage them.

3. Personal data we collect
We collect personal data in three ways:
- You give it to us when you create an account, submit a request, complete profile fields, make a payment to us, contact support, join our mailing list, or apply for a job.
- We collect it automatically when you use our site through cookies and similar technologies. This includes device data, IP address, browser type, pages viewed, links clicked, and referral source. See the Cookies Policy.
- We receive it from others, for example, identity and verification providers, payment processors, fraud-prevention partners, advertising and analytics partners, public sources, and social or business profiles you make public.
3.1 Categories of data
Depending on how you use Workalat, we may collect:
- Identity and contact data: name, business name, email, phone, postal address, country, account identifiers
- Account data: login credentials, role, profile, service categories, qualifications, licences, insurance details, portfolio items, reviews you receive or leave
- Request data: details of the work you want done, location, budget, timing, preferences, communications in Workalat messaging
- Transaction data: purchases of Points or subscriptions, amounts, currency, VAT status, limited payment card details held by our processor
- Usage data: visits, clicks, time on page, navigation, language, device, IP address
- Marketing data: consents, preferences, campaign interactions, email opens and clicks
- Job applicant data: CV, cover letter, right to work, interview notes, references
We do not seek special category data. Do not include health, religion, or other sensitive data in your profile or requests.
4. Why we use your data and our legal bases
We process personal data for the purposes below. The legal bases are UK GDPR Article 6.

Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. This will not affect processing already carried out.
5. Sharing your data
We share personal data only as needed for the purposes above:
- Professionals: when you submit a request, we share your request details and contact data with relevant Professionals who elect to respond.
- Service providers: hosting, storage, analytics, communications, customer support, identity verification, payment processing, marketing tools, and security. They act under contract and only on our instructions.
- Aggregators and referral partners: if we cannot identify a suitable Professional, we may pass your request to trusted partners who try to match you.
- Public content: your public profile and reviews are visible on the site.
- Corporate events: business reorganisation, merger, sale or acquisition.
- Legal and protection: regulators, tax authorities, law enforcement, courts, and advisers where required.
- With your direction or consent: for example, when you connect a third-party account.
We do not sell personal data.
6. International transfers
Your data may be transferred outside the UK. Where we do this, we use lawful safeguards such as the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or another recognised mechanism. Copies of these safeguards can be requested using the contact details in section 2.
7. Retention
We keep data only as long as needed:
- Account data: while your account is active and for up to 6 years after closure for tax, finance, or legal purposes
- Requests and messages: up to 3 years after last activity
- Marketing data: until you opt out or after a reasonable period of inactivity
- Job applicant data: usually 6 months, or longer with your consent for a talent pool
- Cookies: see the Cookies Policy
When data is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it. Where deletion is not possible, we protect it and restrict access.
8. Your rights
You have the following rights under UK data protection law:
- Access to your personal data
- Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure in certain cases
- Restriction of processing in certain cases
- Portability for data you provided to us, where processing is based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing
- Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent
- Complain to the ICO

9. Marketing choices
You can manage email preferences in your account or by using the unsubscribe link in our emails. You can control cookies and advertising choices as set out in the Cookies Policy.
10. Children
Workalat is for users aged 18 and over. Do not submit personal data of children. If we learn we have collected data from a child, we will delete it.
11. Third-party sites
Our site may link to third-party sites or features. Their privacy notices apply to their processing.

This policy explains how Workalat uses cookies and similar technologies on www.workalat.com. Read it together with our Privacy Notice.
